Electrocardiograms (ECG) are non-invasive and painless ways to measure the electrical activity of your heart. They allow your Cardiologist to determine whether your heart-rate is normal, slow, fast or irregular AND it may help a Cardiologist determine if parts of your heart are too large or overworked. Today’s ECG equipment at Richmond Hospital is aging, unstable and has no wireless capability. Vital new equipment would provide fast, reliably transmitted results and could be easily integrated with modern computer systems and software. Each of these cart systems is easily transportable to the bedside to monitor inpatients at Richmond Hospital.
